Car Insurance Volkswagen (Car Insurance). Ending a car lease early by leasing a different car?Ending a car lease early by leasing a different car? I've been driving my leased Nissan Altima for 7 months now and have 32 months remaining on the lease at 220 a month. I honestly must say that I really dislike this car and would want to get a new car. I know it's impossible to end a lease early without ruining my credit score or paying the 5000 they asked for early termination. Would i be able to lease a much more expensive luxury sedan such as a Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, etc; meaning they would pay out my Nissan lease. Is this possible from (your) experience or knowledge and not paying over 500 a month for something like an Acura Tl which would go for 350-400 without this problem. If someone who works in this field can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated and only serious answers please. you can do one of two things and that is call nissan and ask for the early termination fee that will apply because you want to turn in early and seeing it is new the fee will be high so either send the check for that fee and turn car in or go to acura dealer and they will take it as a trade and your payments will be rolled into the new lease on what they can sell the car for and what you owe on the lease, usually when the car is new like yours you will be bottom up on it,( owe more than it is worth ) and not worth doing at this time. you could also try to find someone o take over your lease payments, but this is risky because if they miss payments you will be the one blamed. If you 'trade up' at the same dealer that has the lease now, he's much more likely to help you get a better ( more $$$ ) car. If you want to go to another dealer & brand, then the early termination fees will be there waiting for you. There is no way you can get out of your lease at this point without paying a ton of money. If you were to try to trade out of it, the payoff is going to be through the roof. The negative equity (yes, you can have negative equity on a lease in this situation) would be more than $250 a month added on to the next car. That's not to say that the bank would even accept the deal. No one, and I mean NO ONE is lending more than 5% over book/MSRP on cars, new or used, right now. Even with perfect credit. Unfortunately you are at a point where your two chocies are to grin and bear it for 28 more months, or pony up some serious cash. You first must pay the $5000. paying the 5000 they asked for early termination. -- Auto parts : Fuse Box Acura 1995 . Fuse Holder Alfa Romeo 1996 . Fusible Link Audi 1997 . Generator BMW 1998 . Volkswagen . How to Fix a Leaking Car Door SealThe foam-rubber seal around the edge of your car's doors and windows is a type of weatherstripping meant to keep water and air from penetrating the passenger compartment of your vehicle. Over time, this seal may deteriorate or become damaged.. While it is sometimes possible to repair distorted pieces of a car door seal by using a heat gun and remolding distorted sections by hand, it is more efficient to replace the door seal with a new one to prevent whistling noises while the vehicle is in motion and water leaks that may damage upholstery. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Side-cutters Stainless steel brush Lacquer thinner Cloth rag Tapered 1/8" steel punch Weatherstripping adhesive Replacement foam-rubber seal Replacement plastic push-pins Step by Step : 1 Remove the plastic push-pins securing the corners of the foam-rubber seal to the door frame with the side-cutters. 2 Peel the foam-rubber seal off of the door slowly with your hands, trying to get as much of the adhesive off of the door frame. 3 Scrub off any pieces of the seal that stick to the door frame with the stainless steel brush. After all the large pieces of foam-rubber are removed, dip the stainless steel brush into the lacquer thinner and scrub any adhesive residue off of the door frame. Use light pressure so as not to damage the paint. 4 Wipe down the the door frame with the cloth rag to remove any remaining lacquer thinner, dirt, or glue remnants. You'll need a clean surface on which to glue the new seal. 5 Clean and smooth the push-pin holes around the door frame by inserting the tapered 1/8" steel punch. 6 Apply a thin layer of the weatherstripping adhesive (a type of quick-drying glue) to the edge of the door frame where the seal will sit. Position the replacement seal around the door frame and press firmly into place. 7 Push the replacement plastic push pins that came with the replacement seal through the foam rubber and into the pinholes in the door frame. If you need to lift up on parts of the seal to see where the pinhole is located, be sure to touch up that area of the seal with more weatherstripping adhesive. 8 Clean up any weatherstripping adhesive that leaks out from around the foam-rubber seal with a few drops of lacquer thinner applied to a clean cloth rag. Tips & Warnings Avoid spilling the lacquer thinner and weatherstripping adhesive on your vehicle's carpeting and upholstery. Lay down a towel to protect your interior.
Volkswagen . How to Fix a Leaky Car RadiatorA number of factors can cause radiator leaks. It is not uncommon for cars to develop leaks as they age. Radiators can corrode and rust. Hoses can easily spring leaks. Radiators and radiator hoses become dry and cracked. Even though a leak may appear to be a minor problem, if left unintended it will lead to major damage to your vehicle. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Screwdriver Drain pan Radiator hoses, as needed Set of wrenches Cold weld epoxy Step by Step : 1 Inspect the radiator on a regular basis and be aware of the common signs of radiator leaks. The most common sign of a leak is a low coolant level. Develop the habit of visually inspecting the radiator from time to time. Another sign of a leak is a neon-green puddle under the car. The most common sources of radiator leaks are old hoses. Check the condition of the hoses. Signs of bad hose are cracks, dryness and bulges. 2 Locate the leak. Use a garden hose to wash down the radiator and hoses. Turn the engine on and examine the radiator and hoses for leaks. A pin-sized hole in the hose can cause a leak. If the hose is indeed the problem, then this is an easy fix: swap out the hose with a new one. Simply unclamp the hose using a screwdriver and allow any coolant that comes out to spill into a drain pan. Tighten down a new hose in its place. 3 Drain the radiator fluid. If the hose is not the problem and the leak is in the radiator itself, you can patch the radiator with cold weld epoxy. The plug for the coolant drain is on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger's side. Unfasten the plug with socket wrenches and allow the fluid to drain out in a drain pan. 4 Clean the area around the leak, then apply epoxy to the area. To form a stronger seal, move the overflow line over to the vacuum port. Remove the distributor cap and start the engine a few times. This produces vacuum that will pull the epoxy into the leak and make a stronger seal. 5 Let the epoxy cure for seven to eight hours. Refill the radiator. Check the coolant level later several hours later to make sure you have stopped the leak. *You may not find the prospect of changing your own flat tires especially alluring. But isn't it nice to know that if a crisis does occur and you're not near a phone or don't have the time to wait for the auto club, you can get yourself rolling again in less than 15 minutes? I* reading these instructions makes you think that you'd rather languish by the side of the road for hours than undertake changing a tire yourself, you might consider outfitting your vehicle with run-Rat tires. Although these tires will set you back a couple of hundred bucks, you'll be able to drive with a flat to the nearest service station without ruining the tire. To make the job easier should an emergency arise, you may want to go out and check the lug nuts on your car now. If they're on hideously tight, loosen them with a lug wrench and a pipe and retighten them to a reasonable ten sion so that you Won't have to struggle at the side of the road. 140

If you tend to be feather-headed and leave the keys in your car fairly often, you may be tempted to hide an extra key somewhere on the vehicle. However, I must warn you that unless you're very clever about where you hide it, you may be inviting someone to steal your car or its contents. Those little magnetic boxes that stick to the metal surface of the body or frame are 2() Part I: Getting Started. the best bets here, but be sure to place your box in an obscure and hard-toreach area where it can't jiggle loose and fall out. I leave the choice of area up to you — if I publish a list of suggestions, the Car Thieves of America will nominate me for their annual Helpful Dummy Award! Be imaginative. Struggling a little to reach that extra key is better than giving the car away easily. And don't hide your house key with it. You don't want to give everything away, do you? Volkswagen . Why car engines power is given in PS?
Chevrolet Silverado (Classic) 3500 Regular Cab & Chassis. * Assuming that you've decided not to risk hiding that extra set on your car, here's how to get in without a key: *"* If you have the old-style door locks with little buttons that go up and down, obtain a wire coat hanger, straighten it out, and bend the end of it into a little hook. Insert it between the rubber molding and the side window or vent window and then, carefully, with the dexterity of a jewel thief, hook it around the door button and pull it up. u* If you or your auto manufacturer has had the foresight to replace these buttons with the new, smooth kind, your vehicle has less of a chance of being stolen, but you will have a harder job getting into it without a key. You may be able to use the hanger to hook one or to push the gizmo near the door handle, but most of them will straighten out your hanger before they condescend to budge. Sorry! v0 If you're in a parking facility or near a service station, the attendants often have a gadget called a "jimmy" that can be slid between the window and the door and used to operate the locking mechanism. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask. If they have one, ask them to do the job for you and be generous with your thanks. They've just saved you a lot of time and money. v* If you call a locksmith, you'll have to prove that you own the vehicle before any work can be done, and you'll probably also have to pay immediately. (Let's hope that you didn't lock your wallet in there along with your keys.) If your key is lost outside your car and your steering wheel locks, the locksmith may have to dismount the steering wheel and remove the lock — this can cost you lots of money, plus time and aggravation, before you can drive off again. There's good news, however. Each car key is coded by the auto manufacturer, and if you have the key code number, a locksmith can make you a new key as long as you have identification and can describe the vehicle in terms of its vital statistics. General Motors car keys have little coded tags that you knock out of the key and keep; other U.S. cars come with little metal tags with the number on them; and most foreign carmakers engrave the number right on the keys. As a valuable favor to yourself, write down the code number where someone at home can read it to you in an emergency. Also record it — without identifying what it is — in your pocket address book or in your wallet before you lose your keys. If you don't know the code number for . Chapter 1: Things Every Driver Should Know O 7 your keys and you bought the car, new or used, from a dealer, the dealer may still have the number on file. Failing that, a good locksmith may be able to analyze a key in fairly new condition and come up with the proper code for it. If you happen to lock yourself out of the car while you have the trunk open, you may be able to move the rear seat out of the way and gain access to the rear of the car (or you can hide an extra ignition key in the trunk). It's cheaper to replace, and sometimes the latch breaks before the glass does. If you have to break the glass, wrap something around your hand and use a stone or other heavy object. Keep your head away from flying glass, although most auto glass should be shatterproof. And don't break a window that will interfere with visibility while you're driving home to face the jeers of your family and friends. HovO to lake Anything Apart — and Get It Back Together Again I've never been able to follow the instructions to put my kids' toys together, but I can take a wheel assembly apart and get it back together again, slowly but accurately, by using the following procedure. The bonus is that this procedure works for anything that you need to take apart and put back together again — brakes, toasters, bicycles, and so on. 1. Get a clean, lint-free rag and lay it down on a flat surface, near enough to reach without having to get up or walk to it. As you remove each part, you're going to lay it on this rag. Consequently, the rag shouldn't be in an area where oil or dust or anything else can fall on it and foul the parts. If you're going to use something that blasts air for cleaning purposes, leave enough of the rag uncluttered to lap it over the parts resting on it. 2. Before you remove each part, stop and ask yourself the following questions, and if you're worried about forgetting, make notes: • What is this thing? Volkswagen .
